Karnataka logged 39,305 new Covid cases and 596 deaths yesterday. There are 5,71,006 active cases, while 32,188 people were discharged taking the cumulative discharges to 13,83,285. The state conducted 1.24 lakh tests. Our Correspondent says that the Government is making all efforts to bring in a transparent system in the availability of beds, oxygen and remdesivir injections.
Bengaluru South Member of Parliament Tejasvi Surya has informed that the loopholes in the Covid hospital bed booking system have been plugged. The new features in the bed booking system software that will prevent misuse by vested interests. The state Covid task force head and Deputy Chief Minister C N Ashwatha Narayana has directed officials to immediately integrate the real time data of the supply of oxygen, antiviral drug Remdesivir and bed allocated under Government quota in private hospitals on Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Trust portal. He said all relevant information on a real time basis will be available onarogya.karnataka.gov.inportal within three days.
